The 31st Annual Harwich Cranberry Festival takes place this weekend, September 14-16 and after a two year hiatus, the fireworks are back! Instead of being able to watch the fireworks from the High School Fields, you'll have to go to Red River Beach to see the this year's display. The fireworks will begin at dusk. The carnival will still be held at the Harwich High School Fair Grounds. It's full of great food and fun activities for the whole family including fried dough covered in powdered sugar, squirt gun carnival games, and rides that spin you upside down to name a few. Around 300 Professional artists and crafters will be at the Harwich High School on Saturday and Sunday. There will be free shuttle buses to and from the craft fair from locations around Harwich. Please call 508-430-2811 for more information.
From 8am to 11am Saturday morning the Christian Education Committee at Pilgrim Church is having a "Berry Best Cranberry Pancake Breakfast". Cranberry pancakes, ham, fresh juice and coffee are all on the menu. All proceeds benefit the Peter Hughes Trade Scholarship. After enjoying your breakfast, you can walk around the giant yard sale they are having on the front lawn from 8am-2pm. Please contact the church office at 508-432-1668 for more information.
The Hot Rods Cool Rides Festival Show will be from 2-5pm on Saturday. The cars on display belong to the members of the Cape Cod Classic Car Club. Kids can build a model car to be judge at the Harwich Community Center. The judging will take place at 3pm.
